Originally established in 1892 as the Bulgarian Steamship Company. Today, Navigation Maritime Bulgar (Navibulgar) owns, manages and operates a large fleet of mostly oceangoing bulk carriers that are frequently seen on the Great Lakes. Navibulgar is based in Varna, Bulgaria.
