Established in 1913, family-owned Interlake Steamship Company is based in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The company's diverse fleet of self-unloading bulk carriers includes classic lake freighters, a river class vessel, an articulated tug barge, and four one-thousand-footers. One of these vessels, the 1,013.5' (308.9 m) Paul R. Tregurtha, holds the title of "Queen of the Lakes", as she is the longest ship on the Great Lakes. Collectively these vessels move twenty million tons of raw materials annually. Cargoes include iron ore, coal, limestone and other aggregates.
