Montreal, Quebec based Canfornav, was originally founded in 1976 as Canadian Forest Navigation Co Ltd., for the transportation of lumber and paper products. Today the company operates a large fleet of bulk carriers, transporting grain, agricultural products, steel and other cargos on the Great Lakes and to global markets. Canfornav ships are named for different species of ducks, and they feature bright green hulls with yellow cranes on deck.
